# Title Humpbacked Orbweaver Description A female Humpbacked Orbweaver (Eustala anastera) stands on a small boulder at the edge of fast-moving mountain stream. The boulder was surrounded by water so it's likely she was stranded, having landed there unintentionally. While on the boulder he appeared to release silk threads to be lofted over the water toward dry land. She then made a harrowing crossing on one of the threads to get back to shore. During the escape she became momentarily submerged in the water and had to rest for several minutes to recover from the ordeal.
