# Title Cinnamon Teal Description A male Cinnamon Teal (Anas cyanoptera) stands on a log in a Chicago pond. This individual caused significant controversy in the Chicago birding community for two reasons: Cinnamon Teals are rare in Illinois, and his unusual tameness led some to question whether he is a truly wild bird. The duck spent several weeks at the pond, often tagging along with a pair of Mallards.
