# Title Southern Pygmy Clubtail (male) Description A male Southern Pygmy Clubtail (Lanthus vernalis) perches on a leaf near a stream in the Blue Ridge Mountains. During emergence he was unable to remove two right legs from the exuvia, which remained attached, hobbling him. This photo shows the remaining bits of the exuvia after the photographer removed as much of the exuvia as possible.
