# Title Cluster Fly with Sticky Pollinaria Description A Cluster Fly (Pollenia sp.) stands on a leaf. The yellow objects stuck to the fly's claws are Milkweed pollinaria. The "V-shaped" pollinarium comprises a pollinarium gland and two pollinia (essentially packets of pollen). According to the Milkweed Flowers Web site, pollinaria can be hazardous to insects because of the risk of getting trapped in the flower or even losing a leg.
